Terms and Conditions

GENERAL RULES

  1. The Organisers of the “AlphaLab – Perspektywy Scholarship Programme for Girls in STEM” are AlphaLab and the Perspektywy Education Foundation
  2. The programme participants are 20 female high school graduates from all over Poland, who see their future in new technologies and will start their studies in tech faculties in October 2022 (List), and who have successfully passed the recruitment process for the programme.
  3. Minors are required to provide a document expressing the consent of their legal guardians to apply for and participate in the Programme.
  4. Close family members of the AlphaLab or Perspektywy Education Foundation employees CANNOT apply for the programme.
  5. The “AlphaLab – Perspektywy Scholarship Programme for Girls in STEM” consists of 2 elements: a 2-year financial scholarship in the amount of PLN 30,000 gross (paid in 2 equal parts: part I – by 30. November 2022, part II – by 30 November 2023) and a series of online training sessions.
  6. Additionally, all the programme participants will be invited, free of charge, to:
    Women in Tech Camp 2022 – a four-days inspirational technological camp for young women in new technologies, to be held on 5–8 December 2022 in Bukowina Tatrzańska;
    Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit – the biggest conference for women in new technologies in this part of the world (14–15 June 2023).
  7. The goal of the programme is supporting talented young women, 2022 high school graduates, who are interested in new technologies, in their personal, educational, and professional development.
  8. Participation in the programme is free for the participants.
  9. The programme lasts from October 2022 to June 2024.

  10. Loss of student status leads to losing the claim to the scholarship.

RECRUITMENT

  1. The “AlphaLab – Perspektywy Scholarship Programme for Girls in STEM” are selected via Competition.
  2. Participation in the “AlphaLab – Perspektywy Scholarship Programme for Girls in STEM” is available to female 2022 high school graduates who will start university studies in the academic year 2022/2023 at one of the partner universities, in one of the selected study courses (List) and pass the recruitment process. As part of equalising the educational chances, candidates from cities under 50 thousand inhabitants will be given priority, but high school graduates from all over Poland may apply.
  3. The candidates should have good knowledge of English.
  4. The recruitment process has two stages and consists of the following parts:
    STAGE I (by 20 September 2022)accepting online applications made with an electronic form published at the Project website and verifying applications from the formal side;
    STAGE II (by 20 October 2022) – selecting 20 participants.
  5. The Competition Committee consists of the representatives of AlphaLab and the Perspektywy Education Foundation.
  6. The decision to accept a candidate to the programme is made by the organisers on the basis of evaluation of her results in individual stages of the recruitment process, based on such criteria as, e.g., motivation, interests, personality, level of engagement.
  7. The candidates will be notified about qualifying for the programme via email.
  8. Applications that are incomplete, incorrectly filled out or sent after the application deadline will be rejected.
  9. The Organisers will not make the information on the details of the recruitment process available.
  10. The Organisers are not responsible for the forms sent that will not be delivered for technical reasons or because of an incorrect email address.
  11. The decisions of the Organisers are final, and the results of the recruitment procedure cannot be appealed.
  12. Sending the application form to the programme is tantamount to accepting these Terms and Conditions.

DOCUMENTS

  1. Providing scans of the following documents when sending the Application Form is an integral element of the recruitment process:
    High school completion certificate (maturity examination)
    Confirmation of the decision on admission for studies at a given university in a given field of study (List), and by 20 October 2023 – confirmation of the student status (certificate of admission).
  2. If it is not possible to attach the required documents when sending the application form, they should be sent by 20 September 2022 (inclusive) by email to the following address: scholarships.alphalab@perspektywy.pl
  3. The Organisers reserve the right to request seeing the originals of the above documents.
  4. The Organisers declare that personal data from the above documents will be processed only for recruitment purposes and deleted after the end of the Programme.

FINAL PROVISIONS

  1. Decisions on matters not included in the Terms and Conditions are at the discretion of the programme Organisers.

  2. The programme Organisers reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions.

  3. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, annul or move the programme dates at any moment without giving reasons.

  4. The Terms and Conditions come into force on 15.07.2022.
