Bartłomiej Banaszak
Bartlomiej Banaszak currently holds a position of a deputy director of the Department of Science of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MSHE).
He used to be a member of a ministerial drafting group for the new law on higher education and science. Bartlomiej Banaszak represents MSHE in the Bologna Follow-up Group (from 2011). He was a co-chair of working groups the framework of the European Higher Education Area: the Working Group on Fostering Implementation of Agreed Key Commitments (2015-2018) and Working Group on Structural Reforms (2012-2015).
From 2011 to 2016 Bartlomiej Banaszak was holding a position of the Ombudsman for Graduate Affairs. During the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union (from July to December 2011), he was a vice-chair of the Education Committee and was responsible for negotiating the draft Council conclusions on the modernisation of higher education. From 2009 to 2010, he was the President of the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland. From 2007 to 2008, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the European Students’ Union.
