The University of Gdansk (UG) is a highly esteemed institution that blends traditional values with modern ideals. Its extensive range of activities encompasses education in almost all academic fields and professions that are highly sought after in the labour market. The university boasts one of the largest campuses in Pomerania, which includes locations in Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot, and serves nearly 22,000 students across 11 faculties.

UG offers education in 89 fields of study with 205 specialisations in full-time and part-time studies, including first and second degree programs, as well as uniform master's studies that respond to market demands, are innovative, and tackle contemporary civilisational challenges.

These courses are renowned for their interdisciplinary approach, and new courses are developed in collaboration with experts and future employers. Students are given the opportunity to undertake internships in the best profiled institutions and companies. The university also provides a wide range of postgraduate studies and the option for in-depth studies in doctoral schools, which enables students to continue their scientific interests and enhance their qualifications. Students may choose from seven foreign languages, which they can learn through language classes. The university utilises multimedia resources in the dissemination of knowledge, and interactive e-learning courses are increasingly being introduced, while more books and journals are made available electronically.

UG provides diverse forms of education, with some being interdisciplinary in nature and others being realised in collaboration with other academic centers, both national and international, including student exchange programs such as

MOST or ERASMUS+ and bilateral agreements. The university's researchers conduct scientific research in 21 scientific disciplines. The UG is listed in important global rankings, such as the QS World University Ranking and Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking, reflecting the high quality of education and research conducted, and its growing international reputation and knowledge transfer to the economy. The UG also ranks highly in terms of innovation, with its scientific staff helping to foster an entrepreneurial spirit. The university has a wealth of experience in implementing projects under Framework Programmes and Horizon 2020, as well as operational programs of the Structural Funds. UG researchers also receive other European and international grants. Together with eight partners from European universities, it forms the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) consortium, subsidised by the European Commission.

The project implementation team is supported by several offices, including the Project Preparation Support Office - Project Incubator, Project Implementation Support Office, Bursar's Office, Project Financial Services Department, Project Accounting Records Section, and Legal Office. The project office is located on the UG campus.

The University of Gdansk offers an impressive range of resources and facilities, including the Centre for Foreign Languages, Centre for Physical Education and Sport, International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Research (ICCVS), International Centre for Quantum Theory Technology (ICTQT), UG Library, and six specialist libraries. The UG Library houses 1,672,411 volumes in its collection, including 524,000 electronically available book titles and 110,443 electronically available journal titles. Additionally, there are 87,110 works available in the Pomeranian Digital Library. The university also has three Doctoral Schools, 20 doctoral programs, and 104 postgraduate studies. The student body consists of 23,969 students, including 651 doctoral students in doctoral studies, 212 doctoral students in doctoral schools, 1,415 postgraduate students, and 513 foreign students, doctoral students, and postgraduate students. The university employs 1,810 research and teaching staff, making it a highly respected and renowned institution of higher learning.
